About Us

Welcome to bestfishtankfilter.com — an independent website dedicated to helping fish keepers choose the right aquarium filter.

What we do

We research, compare, and explain aquarium filters so you can match the right filter to your tank size, your fish, and your budget. Our comparison pages break down each filter by the facts that matter: the manufacturer’s listed tank rating, flow rate in gallons per hour (GPH), filter type, cartridge or media design, price, and buyer ratings on the retailer page.

How we compare

We want to be transparent: we do not run lab tests, and we do not claim hands-on testing of every filter. We compare filters using the specifications and ratings published on the retailer listings. Where a listing leaves something out, we leave it out too rather than guessing.

How the site is funded

bestfishtankfilter.com is reader-supported. When you buy through links on our site, we may earn an affiliate commission at no extra cost to you. This does not influence which products we include or how we describe them — our comparisons are based on the listed specifications. You can read more on our Affiliate Disclosure page.
